Great for gaming in my opinion. Especially if you don't want to be loud. I used to like clicky switches until I found that they were just too obnoxious and couldn't stand them anymore. Silent Linear's all the way.

I have had these on my ducky one 2 mini for a while now and they feel pretty scratchy in the beginning but that feeling goes away after a couple of months. They feel really nice for gaming and are very satisfying to type on.

It's a great switch if you're a light and accurate typist. I recently started transitioning to touch typing after using only 4/10 fingers for 15 years and it's incredibly easy to make typing errors. Very fast when used by a capable person though.

One of the best cherry switches for mixed tasks, be wary that it may be harder to type as the actuation is so short and there is no sign of telling when the key is pressed like how a mx brown/blue does.

love these keycaps for typing, i make little to no errors and love the sound. for gaming i do like something with a bit of physical feed back and prefer tactile or clicky switches. but for a daily driver these will do the trick for those who love smooth linear switches without the platsticy bottom out sound

After 2yrs with Silent Reds, I went back to classic MX Reds. I could never get used to the 'mushy' feel since I'm not a touch typist. Instead of clack, you get a thud for feedback. On paper, Silent Reds should actuate the same as MX Reds. But in my experience, the built-in stabilizers made my switches feel stiff (even after lubing them).

Great to use for gaming - Personally prefer Blue/Clicky tactile switches for typing. Universally is great! Super silent and good to use anywhere! Overall great switch!

Silence is golden. Especially while gaming. Keys are smooth and no ghosting or miss clicks and theyre pretty quiet. I love these switches, orings make it a little quieter but gives you even less switch travel so its up to you on putting orings. I prefer no orings because of how much less switch travel there is with o rings. Tho i want my board to quiet as possible.

Soft, but not very quiet. It is a little louder than expected. I had to lube the switches to make them super quiet. Nice for content creators and streamers.

The mallets I have for fingers were trained on manual typewriters in the 80s, so I tend to be a bit heavy on switches and experience soreness from bottoming out regularly. Sometimes dampers help, but silent reds have damping built in (on the rebound as well) so there's no need to shorten an already shortened travel distance with dampers.
