honestly its a really good switch, but one down side is that the red switches are really loud. but they are super responsive and great for gaming :)

Gateron Reds are exactly what they are perceived to be: smooth. Best feeling switch out of the box. However, the 'wobble' associated with Gaterons is also real. The stem is a bit looser which results in a smoother actuation . But that's the trade off. Smoothness at the expense of stable keys.

Really smooth and light for gaming. 45g is horrendous for typing. If a finger so much as grazes the edge of a key, it gets actuated on accident. Gotta keep your fingers raised high and type very slowly. I still love them for how smooth they are, but I can't use them comfortably.

Sound nice, feel really nice for gaming, but typing experience... not so much. Better than blues by a wide margin.

They're nice and clicky, sound nice, aren't scratchy at all. They're great quality for the price and perfect for osu!. I personally find them slightly too light for typing and some gaming but otherwise they're perfect.

optical gateron reds are the only ones i have tried so i may be biased, but they are way farther ahead from a $15 amazon basics keyboard

Switched from a tactile switch (Outemu Brown) and after a small period of adjustment, I'm loving Gateron Reds. They are extremely smooth, lighter than Browns and sound is quite different too. Really good in gaming scenarios and typing is quite nice as well.

Very good linear gaming switch, a bit too sensitive, but muscle memory will get used to it in a week or two. Wobbles a bit but it really isn't noticeable unless you purposely wobble them. Much smoother than MX Reds but supposedly are not as durable. Good linear switch overall.

It's perfect for gaming and for typing. It's a bit light for everyone but it's perfectly weighted for me. Add some lube makes it even better. The wobble still there but not so noticeable. You can add film to reduce it.
