If you're old and you enjoyed typing on the IBM Model M keyboard as a kid, you'll find the Cherry MX brown (and anything with its tactility) to be unsatisfying. If you're young, you're used to softer, less tactile keyboards and you'll probably like the Cherry MX brown (which is probably why it's the most popular all around switch). It's okay, I guess.

great balance -- great for both typing and gaming

I added O-rings to the keycaps which made them much quieter and made the actuation shorter, and I like them more now.
